SECTION / 01
Local processing
Photographs, filenames, EXIF details and GPS coordinates do not need to be uploaded to Photo Archive Rescue servers for analysis. Nikon credentials are neither requested nor used.
SECTION / 02
Immutable source
The selected ZIP or source folder is treated as read-only evidence. Organisation and export write new files to a destination chosen by the user.
SECTION / 03
Untrusted ZIP handling
ZIP entries are inspected with controls for traversal, duplicate names, corruption, suspicious compression, excessive depth and expanded-size limits. Unsupported encryption or password protection blocks processing with source-safety guidance.
SECTION / 04
Verification boundaries
Expected presence and size catch missing or truncated destination items. SHA-256 equality confirms copied bytes. It cannot prove Nikon supplied every expected photograph or that an image is artistically correct.
