SECTION / 01
Research question
What files, structures and metadata are present in representative NIKON IMAGE SPACE bulk downloads, and which service-level relationships cannot be established from the export alone?
SECTION / 02
Evidence handling
Each supplied archive will be copied into an isolated research location. The original ZIP will remain unchanged. A SHA-256 fingerprint, acquisition date, account-size band and test identifier will be recorded without publishing personal filenames or photographs.
SECTION / 03
Test matrix
The study will include small, medium and large archives where legitimately available; JPEG-only, Nikon RAW and mixed-media collections; albums; repeated filenames; duplicate content; GPS data; captions; videos and sidecars.
SECTION / 04
Privacy and publication
Published results will use aggregate counts, fictional examples and redacted structure diagrams. No personal image, name, GPS coordinate or account identifier will be published without explicit permission.
SECTION / 05
What would count as a finding
A finding requires reproducible evidence from a recorded export and must state its tested scope. One archive cannot prove universal Nikon behaviour. Conflicting exports will be reported as variation, not averaged into certainty.
SECTION / 06
Current status
Study protocol published. Representative shutdown exports have not yet been examined. Results, sample count and limitations will be added here without changing the URL.
