SECTION / 01
A library for all your originals
Import folders, ZIP archives and multiple source packages. Browse photos, supported RAW files and videos together, with source history, filters and issue review.
SECTION / 02
Albums, collections and metadata
Create albums and saved collections. Review dates, camera details and available locations; preview organisation and export a separate copy with portable records.
SECTION / 03
Exact duplicates and similar moments
Compare identical content separately from visually similar photos and videos. Review related files and decide what to keep; suggestions never prove that originals are interchangeable.
SECTION / 04
Search, People, Places and Timeline
Search with local visual models, review suggested face groups, name people and explore recorded dates and locations. Missing or uncertain information remains visible.
SECTION / 05
Memories worth returning to
Rediscover moments through Memories and editable stories. Review the selection, sequence and presentation without changing your original media.
SECTION / 06
Verification, backup and recovery
Check copied files with size and SHA-256 hashes. Keep a Library backup on a separate physical disk, queue additions while it is offline, review history and rehearse a restore.
SECTION / 07
Your phone and Windows, connected
Pair PAR Companion on iPhone or Android with Windows to browse permitted media, exchange photos and videos, and retain album context. Companion is free to install; access follows the paired PC licence.
SECTION / 08
Smart Copy and space management
Keep a verified full-resolution master on Windows and smaller viewing copies on eligible phones. Restore originals through the shared transfer workflow. Removing or replacing phone media requires confirmation.
SECTION / 09
Profiles and private access
Use unlimited local PAR profiles, PIN protection and explicit phone access. Each profile controls its library view and shared media without requiring a cloud photo account.
SECTION / 10
Archive tools and portable records
Combine sources in Rescue Sets, review metadata conflicts and missing-date proposals, export selected media and retain reports and portable manifests. Back up or restore catalogues and relink sources with hash checks; optional protection tasks support verification and restore rehearsals.
SECTION / 11
Clear boundaries, useful evidence
Camera and compression variants affect decoding; video playback and viewing-copy conversion depend on platform support. Package metadata is used only where source evidence supports it. PAR cannot retrieve files that were never copied or recover missing cloud exports.
Phone permissions, available storage and operating-system background limits affect transfers. Keep Windows available; iOS may suspend Companion until reopened. Smart Copy eligibility and native confirmation vary by platform and media.
